As 2023 draws to a close, Home Credit, the country’s leading consumer finance company, unveils an intriguing trend in the Philippine market: a rise in the purchase of various commodities, notably mobile phones, with 1.7M units financed. Among the highlighted categories, mobile and tablet purchases garnered the highest number of units sold, signaling a continued reliance on these devices for work, education, and entertainment. The impressive volume of 1.7M units sold underscores the enduring significance of these gadgets in everyday life. Notably, Apple emerged as the top mobile brand for Home Credit this year, experiencing a 100% sales increase from the previous year.

Filipino consumers also exhibited a keen interest in upgrading their living spaces, evident in the financing of 420,000 units of home appliances by Home Credit. These appliances, designed to enhance convenience and efficiency, appealed to consumers looking to upgrade their home essentials for the new year.

Simultaneously, there was notable traction in the demand for TVs, electronics, computers, furniture, and other home improvement materials, reflecting a desire for enhanced connectivity and comfort in homes. The specifications of these products, emphasizing superior performance and comfort, played a pivotal role in driving their popularity.

In terms of goods supporting sustainability, there was a noteworthy demand for e-bikes. Home Credit observed a 122% sales growth in e-bikes this year, underscoring the growing trend of green living and alternative transportation products.

The introduction of The Great 0% Festival by Home Credit played a pivotal role in driving these purchases.
